Tough Dog’s award-winning Foam Cell shock is our best-selling shock absorber – and for good reason. Built for all-round performance, it’s the perfect choice whether you’re heading bush on the occasional weekend getaway or spending most of your year tackling rugged tracks.
The secret lies in the Foam Cell technology. At the heart of each shock is a micro-cellular foam insert that drastically reduces the effects of shock fade. On long corrugated roads or under heavy load, most shocks suffer from cavitation and aeration – as the oil and gas mix, bubbles form, reducing viscosity and leaving the shock unable to perform. Tough Dog’s Foam Cell design eliminates this by filling the space normally occupied by air or nitrogen with millions of gas micro-cells. The result? Consistent performance, outstanding durability, and unmatched resistance to shock fade – even in the harshest conditions.
