We hear this a lot — and honestly, it’s not quite that simple.
While the 2026+ N90 Hilux might look familiar next to the 2025 N80 model, there are important changes under the skin that matter when it comes to suspension, ride quality and load handling.
Toyota has updated components, weights and geometry across the platform, which means parts that worked perfectly on the 2025 don’t automatically transfer over. That’s why proper R&D, testing and vehicle-specific tuning is critical — especially for Australian conditions, towing and off-road use.
Same badge. Same reputation. But a different setup that needs to be treated accordingly.

This complete Tough Dog suspension lift kit raises your Toyota Hilux approximately 40mm, improving clearance, ride quality, and load-handling while maintaining comfort and control on and off the road.
Kit Includes:
- Front Tough Dog Foam Cell Struts
- Front Raised Coils (comfort, medium, or constant load rating)
- Front Swaybar Spacer
- Rear Tough Dog Leaf Springs (optional 300kg, 500kg, or 800kg constant load upgrade)
- Rear Tough Dog Foam Cell Shocks
- Rear Spring U-Bolt Kit
- Rear Spring Bush Kit
- Rear Centre Bearing Spacer
During checkout, you can also choose to have the front struts pre-assembled with new factory strut tops. This ensures all mounting plates are replaced, allowing for a faster, safer installation with no need for a strut compressor.
For the ultimate control, upgrade to 9-position adjustable shocks and add greasable shackles and pins. Tough Dog’s new Upper Control Arms are also available for perfect wheel alignment and maximum performance.
